LOCATION:

Our retreat home is centrally located in the Catskill Mountains, New York. We are tucked away from it all so that you can disconnect and breathe clean crisp mountain air, but close enough to New York City and Westchester that it is a convenient spot to gather.

Our retreat home is located

2 hours from New York City, NY
1.5 hours from Rye, New York

The house is located in a quiet mountaintop town which is on the National Historic Register. Situated on four acres with a big grassy yard, the house is a short distance from New Paltz, Kingston, Woodstock, Lake Minnewaska, wineries, cideries and countless antique shops.

This former boarding house was built for landscape painters in the late 1800's and then run as a hotel by the Cornell University hospitality program in the 1950s. Remnants of the history are seen throughout the house, from the steel and glass windows in the library and some bedrooms, to century-old telephones.

- Surime Fukuda, Mamaroneck, NY (group student)

I love Hélène’s positive and friendly energy that is perfect to start the day with. I always feel energized after her classes. The hands-on assists and advice for specific postures have been deeply appreciated and helpful to progress my practice. Hélène is also very well-read and knowledgeable about yoga sutras and other reliable texts and I find something special I can learn from her daily spiritual quotes at every class. Last but not least the relaxation of Shavasana with Hélène 's Harmonium has been such a treat and luxury to my soul.

- Deniz Oguz, Dobbs Ferry, NY (private student)

I’m new to yoga. I started yoga a few months back looking for more flexibility in the body and more balance in life. Working as a physician in a hospital my schedule is unpredictable and I’m very busy; in private sessions, we work on my own schedule and at my own pace, so I don’t have to worry about catching a class. With Hélène, I feel super confident and taken care of. She gives me her fullest attention and is amazing at understanding my weakness and tailoring each session to work on those. We always start and finish our session with breathing practice which is so relaxing.

- Lucie , Bordeaux, France

With Hélène, I discovered the practice of yoga and meditation which brought me calm and well-being. In 8 weeks, the classes have evolved becoming more and more invigorating. It is a real pleasure to feel progress thanks to regular practice. Always with a smile and lots of advice, Hélène guided us step by step through her universe.
